Residential pressure washing

Hard-surface pressure washing for Sacramento homes.

This page is about the flat, hard surfaces around a Sacramento property — the driveway, the front walkway, the back patio, the pool deck and the paver or brick hardscape in between. Those are the surfaces where higher pressure is safe and where a commercial surface cleaner does the most visible work in a single visit.

CSG Window Cleaning is locally owned, founded in 2023 and based in Elk Grove. We are not a Sacramento office — we are a neighboring-city crew that works in Sacramento constantly, from the older streets in Land Park and East Sacramento to the newer driveways out in Natomas.

Building surfaces are a different job. Stucco, siding and painted trim are cleaned at low pressure under house washing in Sacramento, and our full hard-surface method and equipment live on the main pressure washing service page. Glass is its own trade as well — we handle that under professional window cleaning for Sacramento homes.

Realistic results

What pressure washing actually lifts off concrete.

Most of what dulls a Sacramento driveway is surface-level: valley dust bonded into the concrete by summer heat, organic growth along the shaded edges and under the tree canopy, tire marks near the garage, and general grime that has built up since the last wash. That material comes off well.

Oil, rust and older set-in staining are different. We pre-treat them with degreasers and spot treatments as part of the job, and they usually lighten noticeably — but how far they go depends on the surface, how old the stain is, how deeply it soaked in and how porous the concrete is. We will tell you what we expect to get before we start rather than promising a stain will disappear.

Cleans up well

  • Dirt, dust and general grime
  • Organic buildup — algae and green film on shaded concrete
  • Leaf and tannin staining under the tree canopy
  • Tire marks and traffic dulling on the driveway apron
  • Grime in joints, edges and control cracks

Improves, but varies

  • Oil and transmission drips — pre-treated with degreaser; results depend on age and depth.
  • Rust from sprinklers, planters or metal furniture — spot treated, not guaranteed to clear fully.
  • Paint, sealer failure and etched or spalled concrete — cleaning does not repair the surface itself.
Our process

How a Sacramento hard-surface clean runs.

The same three-stage method we use everywhere we work, with the pressure and tip chosen for the material in front of us.

01

Walk-through and pressure selection

We look at every hard surface on the property, note oil, rust and organic staining, and set the pressure and tip to suit the material — aged concrete, pavers and decorative finishes are not all treated the same.

02

Pre-treatment dwell

Degreasers and detergents are applied and given time to break down oil, algae and organic staining before any water pressure touches the surface. Plants and fixtures are protected first.

03

Surface clean, detail and rinse

A commercial surface cleaner makes the main pass so concrete finishes evenly with no wand stripes, then edges, cracks and joints are detailed by hand and the whole area is rinsed down and walked with you.

Different surfaces, different pressure.

Sacramento properties run the full range — 1920s brick and old poured walkways in the central neighborhoods, mid-century concrete in Arden and Pocket, and newer paver and stamped patios in Natomas. The pressure that is right for a broom-finish driveway is not right for a decorative patio, so we change the setup rather than the surface.

Standard broom-finish concrete
Full surface-cleaner pass at working pressure, then hand detailing along edges, control joints and cracks so the finish is even from end to end.
Stamped and decorative concrete
Lower pressure and a wider fan so the pattern and any existing surface sealer are not stripped or etched. We clean it; we do not resurface or reseal it.
Pavers
Reduced pressure to keep joint sand in place as far as possible. Some sand loss is normal on any paver clean; re-sanding is available on request.
Brick and stone
Older brick and mortar joints get the gentlest setup on the truck. Where mortar is already soft or failing, we say so and clean conservatively instead of forcing it.

Sacramento questions

Pressure washing in Sacramento — common questions.

How much does pressure washing cost in Sacramento?
Concrete and hardscape cleaning is quoted by the square foot starting at $0.15/sq ft, with a $149 service minimum. A typical two-car driveway of roughly 600–1,200 sq ft generally starts in the $149–$299 range. Prices are subject to change and confirmed before we book.
Can you clean my driveway and patio in the same visit?
Yes, and it is usually the better way to do it. We measure the total cleanable square footage across the driveway, walkways, patio and pool deck together, and bundling the area lowers the effective rate compared with booking each surface separately.
How long does a driveway take?
Most driveways take 60–90 minutes. A driveway plus patio and walkways typically still fits into a single visit.
Will pressure washing remove oil stains from my concrete?
We pre-treat oil with a degreaser and it normally lightens noticeably, but we do not promise complete removal. How far an oil stain comes up depends on how old it is, how deeply it soaked into the concrete and how porous that concrete is. We will tell you what we expect before we start.
What about rust marks from sprinklers or planters?
Rust gets a spot treatment as part of the job. Like oil, it usually improves rather than vanishing — severity, surface age and how long the mark has been there all affect the result.
Is it safe on pavers and stamped concrete?
Yes. Pavers and stamped or decorative concrete are cleaned at lower pressure with a wider fan so joint sand and existing surface sealers stay intact as far as possible. Re-sanding pavers is available on request. We clean these surfaces; we do not reseal or resurface them.
Is this the same as house washing?
No. This page is hard surfaces — concrete, pavers, brick and stone, where higher pressure is safe. Stucco, siding and painted trim are cleaned with the low-pressure soft-wash method under our separate house washing service.
Do I need to be home during the appointment?
No. As long as we can reach an outdoor water spigot, you can go about your day. We walk the finished surfaces with you afterwards if you are there.
Are your detergents safe around plants and pets?
Yes — we use biodegradable, pet-safe detergents, and landscaping is protected and rinsed before and after the wash.
